Galaxt map notations

Galaxy map notations

It would be great if you could add notations to the galaxy map to show where there are navigation hazards i.e. white dwarf stars at the exit point of the FSD. I mean you can look at the system map and see info on populated maps, but not the ones that aren't. It would certainly make peoples lives a bit safer knowing that they are going into a risking system or not.

The systems with white dwarf stars usually have a red system icon, meaning you can't see anything in it. Most of the lettered/numbered systems are like that: Examples include BPM 17113, LP 104-2, Lawd 26 and LHS 1547. All of those have white dwarf stars with the exception of Lawd 26 and it has a Wolf-Rayet/white dwarf combo. None of this is listed in the system information.
These are the kind of things that should be listed as they pose a big hazard to entering a system from an FSD jump. Our GPS systems today can add all kinds of things to their databases. Why can't we have it in the game?

Under the info tab, there is a star type listing
It will show up for the main star even if you havent been to the system.

In the one below it is a K6 VA so an Orange Main Sequence Star

White Dwarves are DA something something

Huh, I had actually never looked on the left hand side when making my routes. I always got my info when I clicked on the system info button next to the plot route button. Thanks for the info!

Does this count as something learned for the day?? =D
