Galaxy events

O7, Commanders!

It would be nice to see more dynamic galaxy than now. Adding more galaxy events could boost space tourism and improve atmoshere of the any alien or human race insignificance to the scale of the universe.

What now:
single static galaxy of Milk Way,
permanent immutable stars,
immutable static space background image depends only on your coordinates (actually image of background is from long time ago, due to the speed of light, but because galaxy isn't changing it's no difference),
orbiting asteroids inside belts,
black holes without consumption of anything except careless CMDRs

Suggestions:
1. Comets, travelling among systems
It could be massive bodies which appears both on galaxy and system map. On galaxy map it could exists like massive bodies without star, with or without tail. It also could be a rare resources obtainable from, or stations on
surface/orbiting, depending of type of body
2. Merging stars, supernovas, black holes, comsupting bodies, destroying of system bodies according to the state of astronomical event
Dynamic, changing galaxy according to the data from the astronomical eventlog, maybe via reports from the players (with references to astronomy publications). It would be nice to see some type of events like merging stars.
3. Planet events, like aurora borealis, meteor rains, tsunamies, atmosphere events (like cyclones)

Thanks for the attention!
Sorry if someone already suggest the same (i've not found any).

I like the idea, there are however some slight problems with it.

Namely there are 400 billion stars in our galaxy and this game. Lets say that FD write an algorithm that destroys even 50 stars a year in a supernova, 50 starts to black holes, and 50 stars collide. The chances that any of them will actually happen in or around the bubble are significantly less than 1%

Not to mention the likely hood that anyone will know it's happening. although on that front you could have GalNet release a statement saying some scientists somewhere have been observing some system and believe the following is going to happen in a few days - but even then, events we see now from stars 1000Ly away have actually already happened and the light is only just getting to us.

I for one would love to have cosmological events take place - comets, asteroid impacts and the like would be far more feasible as they occur a lot more and would be easier to track

One of the things coming in Q4 of Beyond is new stellar phenomena (one of the goals of the Distant Worlds Expedition 2 is to go and find these). We don't have any further details yet but I guess I'm hopeful.
