Here is an interesting C++ programming video from, in my opinion, easily the best coding tutor on Youtube: javidx9 (One Lone Coder). Here he builds a pseudorandom seed generator to produce a simple procedurally-generated Universe of star systems. Of course, he cites Elite Dangerous as the inspiration. His 3D graphics engine from scratch series of videos is excellent as well. As indeed are all of his coding tutorials...
