Ok, so..... The blue lines on the galaxy map which show how far you can jump....... How the bloody hell do you turn them off? It's been so long that I cant remember any more.

"System Connectors" in the list of toggles, found at the bottom on the left side IIRC. But beware the galaxy map may misbehave without them...
H or O, because O has a specific setting in the nav menu, but H you just need to deselect all route options in the nav panel after selecting your preferred route setting, fastest or economical.
