Galaxy Map broken?

A couple of days ago I decided to move all my ships to one high-tech' station so I could "audit" them, refit them and then send them off to engineers where necessary.

Thing is, the Galaxy Map still shows all my ships as being where they were before I moved them.

Up until then, it all seemed to be working properly. Ships were shown as being wherever I parked them.
It's as if, by moving a dozen ships at the same time, the Galaxy Map has lost it's marbles and given up trying to keep track of them.

Any way to reset it or force it to update my ship locations?

I believe there's a bug re: ship transfer where the galaxy map doesn't show the ship's new position until you've switched into the ship in the shipyard.

Yes, it's a known bug in ship transfer.
When you switch into the other ship and back, the map updates properly.

That is... if you can find that ship, first, of course.

Hmmmm...I have not experienced this bug myself. It must be a sporadic thing. I moved my 6 ships to Cubeo a month ago and they all showed there without having to jump into each one first.

Terrific. That'll teach me to plan ahead.
I was running a mission when I found a high-tech station right in the middle of all the engineers I use so I thought I could just get all my ships moved there so they'd be waiting when I had the chance to go back and do all the work on them.

Now I'm on the far side of the bubble, in the middle of other stuff, but my OCD compels me to go back again in order to tidy up the Galaxy Map.

Still, it's not as bad as it might have been.
At least I know all my ships are, physically, in one place so it's just going to be a case of going to the station and then getting in and out of 17 ships one after the other. [blah]

Hmmmm...I have not experienced this bug myself. It must be a sporadic thing.

That is what makes it a bug. If it worked always like that, it would be a feature.

Not only from ship transfer. Sometimes when I jump into another system and directly land on a planet the ship is considered still docked at the last station several lightyears away after I send it away.

I had the same issue but never really worried about it now that i have read this thread, it all makes sense.

I had red markers all over the Gal map on the Xbox.

Now im PC and i just saw the same thing.
