Galaxy Map - Deselecting Selected Issue

ISSUE 1:
So I am finally trying out the new system instead of the old (aka Legacy) Horizons 4.0 and trying to get used to the new map layouts and UI's etc.

I am having an issue with the Galaxy Map in particular where I select a planet to just check out the stats on it and after I am done, I can't seem to easily deselect the item and get rid of the right hand panes.

With all the left hand menus, I can just move the cursor keys and the pane dissapears, but with the right hand one, I have to de-select the selected system. The only way I can do that is by clicking multiple times (some times it works with one click, but not often) on blank space to get that pane to go away.

Is there an easier way to de-select things in the Galaxy Map?

ISSUE 2:
Any easy way to scroll down some of the menus on the Galaxy Map besides having to perfectly click in the middle of the ultra thin slider bar? I usually end up having the whole map rotate as I'm trying to scroll down a menu or I end up selecting something else by mistake? I can't seem to use any keyboard keys or the mouse wheel to scroll down these menu options when there is a scroll bar on them?

Thanks, I tried the mouse wheel and it removes the pane and either zooms in or zoomes out the Galaxy Map. Even when I manually move the scroll bar, it also tilts the map which can get a little distracting and annoying.

Only times I use the mouse wheels are for changing fire group.

Oddly enough, I have the exact same issue with scrolling in either the system map or the galaxy map, it activates the content behind the menu I've clicked on, and selecting the tiny scrollbar is just a horrible UX. Any ideas? It did not used to be like this.
