Galaxy Map Destination

Hi Everyone,

Loving the game, even though the learning curve for how to control the game is kicking my butt lol.

I am having a bit of an issue with the galaxy map. I am trying to set a destination but can't for the life of me figure out how. I managed to find the system in the view using the search feature but how am I supposed to set it as the destination?

When I look at the system on the map, I can't see any systems connecting to it so I don't know how to get there. Am I missing something? The destination field in the galaxy map options is blank and I cant change it.

If you click on the location that you want to go to it should centre on the screen and then it will appear in the destaination box. You can then see the fastest or most economical ways to get there.

However if it is further away than your range it won't let you jump there. Hope that helps a little.

Welcome! And don't worry, you'll get used to the way it all works.

As for the galaxy map. If the system is within your ship's range, you should just be able to click on it to lock the destination.

Thanks for the responses, I probably should have mentioned that I am using a DK2. The UI is a nightmare with it on lol. Selecting the system did work eventually but it had to be perfectly centered.

Also am I right in assuming that I wont be able to see the systems along the route until I explore them?
