This was in the Patch Notes for v2.1.03:
Changing ‘Profit’ to ‘Radius Profit’ changes the label on a misleading figure. It does not change the misleading nature of that figure.
If the Galaxy Map can only access Radius Income and Upkeep, please refrain from using it to display an inaccurate calculation. An inaccurate calculation is far more confusing than leaving the raw numbers up for user interpretation.
You can use the term ‘Average Overhead’ if ‘Per System Overhead’ sounds too confusing. The goal with including an Overhead number isn’t to be accurate to the decimal, but to illustrate that every system brings an Overhead cost with it. Since every other number exhibited on the Galaxy Map is from the previous week, this one can be as well.
If Base Income cannot be shown on the Galaxy Map, please remove all reference to ‘Profit’ from the Galaxy Map. Provide Radius Income and Upkeep. Leave the rest of the calculation on the Galactic Powers UI, which can source the accurate numbers. And if you are going that far, please include a line for Overhead (per system) as a data point.
If for some reason, you do not want Overhead to be visible on a system by system basis, please remove all references to 'profit' from the user interface, and, if possible, include some sort of 'help' pop up window near the Current Status display that will let everyone know exactly what Overhead is.
- Gal map / powerplay : Displaying "radius profit" instead of "profit" in the popup to avoid confusion about values displayed
