Galaxy Map filter needs "War" adding to it...

Logged in 3 hours ago fancying a bit of conbat. Still havent found a conflict zone. THREE HOURS of wasted time looking at the galaxy mapand aimlessly flying about. Seriously, is it so hard to add filters to the map for this? No wonder people are leaving this half finished game in droves. Its a joke.

ERHU (Empire system on the fringe), entering day 2 of its civil war. Also, the GALNET, I believe lists several ongoing wars as well.

I would say you're looking for a basic conflict zone between sub-factions? Did you check mostly Independent Systems? You can always check Powerplay systems that are Preparing, Fortifying, Expanding but it sounds like you are looking for an Independent system with a basic conflict zone. That's hard to judge though since it looks like you are actively participating in powerplay. The Vulture jump range is laughable so scouting for a conflict zone might not be easiest in that.

With the BGS being updated I also hope to see the ability to search for systems that have opened a conflict zone between sub-factions.

You posted about this already here: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=168608

I think Ochoeng has a conflict zone right now, haven't checked since yesterday. Also has rares and CG. I don't really think another post was needed but I agree with you on the fact that the system map should include data on whether there is an active conflict zone or even list if the system has a High Resource Extraction Site. It would encourage players to make a route checking these places for other players activity if they are Pirating/Bounty Hunting and if it really became a problem you could just pop into solo.

Edit: Wow really 12,542 to choose from I didn't know that but I don't read Galnet as much anymore

when youre on the galactic map, filter them by population size. then go to individual system infos. When youre there make sure you select nothing in particular in the system, and it should give you system faction infos on the left side panel, go through them and look for "civil war".

and 2,485 minor factions at war. Galnet shows 10 of each out of those thousands, none of which are anywhere near where I am. Found one now at long last anyway, though after nearly 4 hours of searching I feel like throwing my pc through the nearest window not sitting and chilling with a bit of pewpew..

The only reason I'd like to see conflict zones with less effort on the GalMap is, the last time I played I went through the four closest systems in conflict listed on Galnet and not a single one had a conflict zone. I was a little disappointed and ended up just doing 15m Cr. trading instead. Still good, but wasn't what I specifically sought out.

Anything that makes conflict zones more easy to find is welcome.

Galaxy map could also do with some way of adding a favourites list to it as well.
Or the ability to plot and save a route.

the galaxy map needs A LOT of improvements and enhancements, really aside from plotting a course, its kinda useless you can find more reliable information on the forums or elsewhere.

A real shame FD isn't allowing direct data mining, while community-updated information works (for the most part) for trading, anything else is hard to maintain updates on. Something that FD could easily fix by making the map useful

Like I said before, it's more fun to make your own. Find a system where 2 factions are close in %. Support one until civil war starts. Pick a lovely system with a great view and lots of facilities. Want to see a cap ship? Choose a system where one of the factions is a big 2 power. What's this trying to find one crap?, blaze your own trail! :p

It's a joke that you're probably lazy enough to not realize what the Galmap is telling you but engaged enough to blindly fly around and blame the game for that. If I'm wrong with my assumption, please apologize.

You may want to have a look at this thread* and you're cured.

This is the big problem with this game. It's brilliant fun........when you can find it. You go to a RES and then have the choice of sitting in your Python killing Sidewinders like a horse swatting flies with it's tail, or logging out and back in 20 or 30 times trying to get the favour of the random number generator with some challenging enemies.

You can never just pick up the game and have fun.

Some days the RNG works in your favour. On those days you wonder why anybody ever plays any other game. Some days the RNG gods hate you. On those days you start to wonder what you see in the game.
