Galaxy map functioning correctly after update 15?

Hi All :)
I'm having issues with plotting a course (remotely) for my Carrier while I'm in my ship in another system.
Anybody else having similar issues?
Are there known issues with the Galaxy Map after update 15 (and 15.1) ?

Jack :)

Hi All :)

The only problem I've noticed since the update is that, when I am plotting remotely, the map does not show where I am currently, so I can't plot the jump of the FC to my position without using workarounds.
Thanks for posting this @HRDiagram (y)
Yep, this is my exact problem. Yes I can use workarounds, like typing in the System I want the Carrier to go to on the Galaxy Map. Then I click on the system icon (if it's viewable) and sub select planet etc.
Okay, it's no big deal, just a small irritation.:(
Thanks everyone.
Jack :)

I would not call this a problem when it was mentioned in the patch notes that it would now focus on the carrier when in the carrier navigation menu, and not the player.

Dunno, makes sense to me. Like you want to know the exact distance the carrier is away from a system, especially when doing jumps at max range.

This problem was introduced with Update 15 - "when clicking a planetary station via the Points of Interest list on the System Map the cursor goes to the sun instead of the planet."

Agreed that the marker should be on the carrier, and carrier jumps be measured from carrier position... but I did a remote jump yesterday also to bring my FC to me... but 'My position' was not visible on the map... Even if it's just a matter of having the 'your ships' yellow icon on your current location would be helpful. I ended up making a temporary bookmark in the system I was in so I could find myself in the FC nav map. Later I though about it and I remembered there is a 'copy system name' on the side bar, but that doesn't help if I'm plotting trajectories... as an explorer, always want to be able to see both my ship and FC in both galaxy maps. Zooming out to look at line of site direction doesn't work well if you can't see yourself (without work-arounds like setting up bookmarks).

The problem is not the long awaited fix to measure the distance from the carrier, but the fact that the map does no longer show the position of the CMDR, and that is a bug in all likelihood, because a number of updates ago the map was centered on the FC and it was possible to see my current position at the same time.
