Galaxy Map issue

This is mostly of note to explorers.

IT seems that the galaxy map system search has an issue with certain strings not searching properly.

For example, I can type 'Eagle Sector EL-Y D203' into the search bar, and it will take me to that system.

But if I type 'Blo Aescs YY-A D1247' in (and yes, that's a real system.) it takes me to 'Blo Aescs YY-A D0' instead. In fact, almost all systems that end in <sector><region letter letter - letter><system letter><four digits> takes you to <system letter>0 instead... which is a shame because it means that it's essentially impossible to set waypoints and get back to that exact system on the map, for a very long-range trip.

Hmm, i just tried it, but the map didn't move to anywhere at all

I then searched for BLO AESCS YY-A and left the D1247 part out, that took me straight to the space with all the "BLO" systems.

I assume you tried it more than once to rule out a typo ?

None of the searches i did ever panned me to the "CLO" systems.

I made a typo in the post. It's supposed to be BLO, not CLO. I since fixed it, sorry ;)

But the issue with the galaxy map was not a typo. I checked it three times, and closed and opened it several times as well because it can start to act... wierd... after a while open.

Haven't had problems with galaxy map so far myself, but indeed - Blo<snip> D1247 search drops you at D0 instead.

Tried a search to neighboring Blo Aescs FK-Y C1-53 ... planted me on C1-0 instead. So, the very last part (when numeric) seems to poop.

Ahh, ok.

I couldn't find the D1247 system either though, so i can understand where you're coming from.

As a side observation (i've never noticed this before), when it puts you on D0 and you click the arrow again, it then moves to D1...then D2..and so on.

Of course, not feasible clicking all the way through to 1247, but i wasn't even aware that this "scroll through" function existed.

Bug - I raised a ticket 2 weeks ago - hurting my data

<nod>

Then I'm sure it'll get dealt with when they're back from holiday. Good to know I'm not theo nly one who noticed this.

Another issue I've noticed is that there are some names that are not unique which should be. I just now noticed there are two 'Herschel 36' systems, about two hundred LY apart, and that's just one of a number of systems I've seen doubled.

I submitted a ticket for 2 systems called Alya which are about 80Ly apart. If you type ALYA in the search box it takes you to one but to get to the other you need a station name in the system.
