Galaxy Map Issues

Is the Galaxy Map broken or am I doing something wrong? I don't use it much in-depth but I remember when I did I could filter to things and it would do what I want. Now whatever I click on it just clears everything I set previously. Things are missing. For example, there used to be a mode were I could see trade routes drawn as colorful lines between systems. Can't find that anywhere now. If I filter to KGBFOAM stars, it is empty if I click away to another mode. Same with visited systems and system states. Nothing seems to work. I found the issue below. Could it have something to do with it?

As it stands, the Galaxy Map is utterly useless for anything but plotting a route. Thx.

Trade mode is now under the pilot-something category. You have to switch to the category, then select one of the sub-modes. Then you can e.g. display trade routes again.

Any stuff that's related to pilots doing things (faction control, system governments, economies, etc.) is now in this separate category.

And if you want star classes displayed again, you have to switch back to realistic map mode.

Thanks. Well in that case it's a convoluted piece of time wasting garbage.
I'll stick to just plotting routes with it for now. That is, until that's broken too.

im trying to understand why the map filters are still broken after 4 months, they've even added things to the map but left it legit broken, I haven't really played in that time since as this is kinda bull

It isn't broken, just a bit clunky to use.
