Galaxy map problems

I'm having problems getting any filters to work on the view tab for the galaxy map. Trade routes aren't showing up, changing filters such as population and political affiliation don't change anything either. All of my map options are checked. I'm fairly sure it's something really simple, but I can't figure it out. Help me Obi Wan Kenobi. You're my only hope!

Don't rely on galaxy map trade routes. Those are NPC trade routes and are often not accurate. Anyway, have you tried paning and zooming the camera a bit? Sometimes they show when you do that... Also, buying trade data might help, but don't take my word for it.

Thanks for the reply, Deyu, but I've tried everything I can think of. It's not just trade routes, it's everything on the galaxy map. I only have access to the basic map and no filters seem to be working at all.

i have the same issue , and im stuck on most economical route . apparently theres a fix by deleting a file
C:\Users\{username}l\AppData\Local\Frontier Developments\Elite Dangerous\Options\Player.

but i cant find this file on my pc , its ont in the ed launcer folder
