Galaxy Map searches: Is there a wild card option?

Coming back from a bit of exploring, I was told I had a few first discoveries.

Oh... Must go look again on the map.

Couldn't find the place at all, only realising I got the hay and hya in hyades mixed up.

However, is there a wild card option to search? Seems like a first world problem but typing 'hyades sector yz-v a3-2" to find the system should be a lot simpler if I could search yz-v or "yz-v a3"

Some shortening of names is allowed in searches ie Tseticia is shorten to tseti by me when checking how far out I have travelled from there ( that was the last stationed system I was in).

yes if you type the first few chars of the name and click go, it will find the nearest match (not always the closest tho!)
no actual * type wildcard tho afaik (not tried)

Trouble is, with so many hyades sector systems, I may as well just fill in the whole name...

However, thanks for clearing up the fact I'm not missing anything here.

A adaptive 'click to select' drop down list would be nice.
