SPECIFICALLY --- Interstellar Factors
I have just finished a long exchange with "SUPPORT" in which they finally decided that the reason one of my accounts wasn't displaying any Interstellar factors was:
1. I was over 40 LY from one.
2. I had not yet visited any stations within 40 LY that had one.
For that account, which is a new account that has only endured one update, this seem likely true.
BUT,, For my long time account D.D. Harriman, this doesn't seem feasible since I have both ships at the same station that is in a part of the galaxy that my long time account has not spent a lot of time exploring, the filter displays a large number of systems with IF's. Many of these systems show as UNEXPLORED for the newer account but some show as explored and using the GM and looking at the system I can see the stations services list showing IF's but the system doesn't show in the GM filter for IF's in the new account.
The other end of this is that since DDH has not explored very many of these systems, and I can say with reasonable confidence certainly has not landed on the approximately 100 stations inside the 40 LY distance that show as having and IF, why would they show in the GM filtered for IF??
So I have a request.
If you have two separate accounts and you can get both of them to the same system, run a quick check to see what differences the GM shows when filtered for IF's..
I suspect a bug in the way the GM SERVICES FILTER or the GM system information tool and it probably isn't just for IF's.
If I can see the IF's (and other services) on stations that I have not visited, in systems I have not visited using the SYSTEM INFORMATION TOOL, then the system should show as having that service on the Galaxy Map using the SERVICES FILTER.
That appears to be what happens with my DDH account but not with my Mac account.
Thanks
