Hi guys, I have a couple suggestions for Galmap.
1. A skip ahead key binding for advancing to the next jump the plotted course without entering the Galmap.
For instance. I have a 800ly course plotted. I hit a neutron star and charge up for a 200ly jump. But now I have to go to the galmap and pick a system a couple jumps ahead on my route, select it and make the jump. Then I can continue on my plotted journey. A skip ahead key would make this very easy by allowing you to skip ahead up to the point of your jump range.
EDIT FOR CLARITY....The skip ahead would skip one jump point for each key press until you max your jump range. Then possibly indicating that jump range exceeded so you can select the last available jump if desired.
Right now I am gridding an area of space looking for clues how earth like worlds are spread out in the particular area (if there is any pattern at all). So I end up overlapping systems and have to skip ahead by going to the Galmap and selecting a system in the route that I haven't visited.
2. More tags 1000...yes, this has been a desire repeated over and over, but I would like to see the ability to color code them from a palate of maybe 6-8 basic colors. Once again I have been tagging the earth likes that I find in the gridded area, but I would also like to tag the water worlds with a different color for quick Galmap visual reference.
That's all. Hope they good ones.
