Galaxy map triangle icons

Hi, been away for years, trying to figure out the new interface from System Colonization... What do the galaxy map icons mean:

• inverted solid purple triangle,
• inverted hollow purple triangle,
• and same icons but with a tower(?) on top?

Haven't found explanation in game interface, codex, wiki, unofficial SC guide, here on forum, or anywhere else I searched...

Empty triangle. Construction in progress. There's a bug that lets you build without using a slot and it won't show if those are building.
Full triangle. No construction projects in progress. ^^

Thanks! So hollow triangle means there's active construction in progress on at least 1 thing in the system? And solid means nothing is actively being built? So does the tower icon on top mean construction of the primary port only, and no tower on top means construction of anything but the primary port?

As long as you don't get the bonus slots bug/feature yes. (build around a body with rings and sometimes it'll spawn a new slot instead of using one. It's not reliable so don't plan on it happening.)

Off the top of my head I can't recall the primary port marker but just drop into one it'll be very obvious. I've got a bunch of bricked test systems full and partial which is where I got the information. I simply compared the icons to the system states. I'm not sure I found it explained in the journal anywhere. Yes it also applies to other people's colonies the only difference is the colour.

I found a system on galaxy map with a hollow purple triangle with a tower on top and it seems to say that the primary port hasn't been completed yet, so it sounds like the tower on the icon is related to that. The towers don't seem very common on the map, whereas there are tons of solid and hollow triangles without the tower on top.

Wish there was map icon legend / tooltips...

At least it's fairly simple once you know what they are. I don't really find the information useful but I suspect that some time in the future some cleanup crews will probably make it their mission to close all abandonned projects and then it'll be useful.

For someone new to it all here's what it means to me... In the order of the colonization steps:

1. Purple inverted hollow triangle with tower/crane on top: claimed system and 4-wk timer is running for completion of the primary port. These are the only claimed systems that might be available again for other claims if the primary port is not completed in time. Nearby systems cannot be claimed from these systems yet (until the primary port is completed).
2. Purple inverted triangle without tower/crane on top:claimed system and primary port has been completed. These will never be available again to other claimants. Nearby systems within 15 ly can be claimed from these systems.
   1. Hollow triangle: a facility is under construction somewhere in the system. Useful for finding places to haul cargo if that's your thing.
   2. Solid triangle: no facilites are currently under construction in the system. (Can change if the owner/system architect starts a new construction project.)

So the ones with the tower/crane on top are maybe the most interesting to people looking for possible claims to expire. They are kinda hard to spot in the gal map interface tho (at 4K), and there seems to be no filter options. So I assume everyone just uses an external site/app to find things, as usual. (I haven't yet checked those sites to see what new features/data they've added for system colonization. I'm guessing Inara, EDSM, and/or whatever became of EDDB have it covered by now.)
