It might be useful for people randomly exploring the galaxy to have an option in the galaxy map where it would render a cone/pyramid showing what direction you were looking at just prior to entering the map view.
It would allow for people to 'aim' for something they saw in the skybox, such as a nebula, and head in roughly that direction easier - without having to scroll and rotate around trying to find it in galaxy map before figuring out roughly what direction they would need to aim in.
Its hardly a game changing thing, or a priority but it would be a 'nicety' for those who dont have an end destination pre-planned for exploration trips and just want to head to something interesting that they saw.
