when you navigate to a system then enter system map it would be much less annoying if, when you close the system map, you are still where you navigated to rather than back at your current location.

Please make the galaxy may settings persistent during a session. IOWs, as the OP said keep the map settings when you enter the map a 2nd time as you left them previously. (keep zoom, location, orientation as you left them at least until you exit the game)

Also, if you access the System Map from the cockpit, when you exit the system map I wish it would go back to the cockpit instead of the Galaxy Map (which requires two Exit clicks).

Hi everyone,
i have two additional suggestions.
It would be great to:

- have a pull down menu with ship locations in the galaxy map to navigate directly to it (similar to the "actual location" button) and
- to be able to set a station as target in the system map.

I would love to know if I am being shot at, driven into the sun, interdicted, or other common sense warnings while the map is up. I always wonder what is going on when I am staring at this chart waiting for it to calculate the distance to something on the other side of the universe from my targeted system. It even stops ice from chilling my glass of Monster. Powerful map indeed.
