I don't know if anyone else has noticed this but it seems the procedural generation routines of the galaxy could use some tweaking.
Go in the Galaxy map, in View, select Map mode (not Realistic). At full zoom-in, search for Sagittarius A. Then start zooming out slowly. At about 22-24 clicks of the mouse-wheel, you will start noticing a perfect square forming on screen. At 28-32 clicks, you will notice another square, larger which includes the first smaller one inside it.
