GalMap improvement: Minor factions bubbles

Can you please copy&paste the powerplay page for minor factions?

short example:
the current Bounty Hunt CG - there is no RES in the main system of that minor faction with the mission.

but neither is there a quick ingame way to just highlight all star systems where that minor faction is "present" or "ruling".

and simple way to do that, would be a carbon copy of the first of the three view modes you get for powerplay factions.

"Overview" - highlighting where the selected minor faction is in control, and where its just present, with the meta-ball bubble.
highlight where the home system is, and a second one for where the faction has a war or election going on.

since any minor faction can turn into a powerplay faction with enough support, this would be only reasonable to implement.

thanks

Hello, Mr Anni. :)

While I suspect it'll involve rather more than just copy-&-pasting a few lines of code, the idea is a welcome one. At risk of being Captain Obvious, I would suggest a 'double-bubble' - the inner bubble showing actual control and the outer one showing where they have an active presence, in a distinct colour.

Beyond this, I would also like to see a few other things:

• A kind of trade-view, the inverse of the bubble idea, just showing the highlighted (major or minor) faction's internal & external trade & transit routes - the NPC highways of ED, effectively. Indicators for important activity - such as increasing levels of crime or trade, outbreaks or wars, urgent demands for miners, etc - would not be unwelcome.

Currently, I'm not paying much attention to the BSG - I'd like to, but unless you're part of an active player-sponsored minor faction, it seems to need substantial efforts to find out anything useful, even with external resources.

With this - and your idea - it should become much easier to see how well the EPF (or whoever) is actually doing and see where I need to contribute my services, whatever they happen to be. Possibly, this information might be sensibly restricted to Friendly or Allied Commanders;

• Not terribly on-topic, but I'd like to have a star's-eye view, with clear directional indicators in the background and clear indicators for economy types always visible for all one-jump-reachable, inhabited systems.

This way, I can pick a direction, rotate the view around until I find a target system I like and just go - wandering along and best-guess trading in similar fashion to the original Elite. I can sort of do that now, but not well enough for it to be very enjoyable - there's not enough of a sense of direction, unless I'm running roughly in parallel with the map's grid-lines;

• It would be good to have these - and all other map-viewing modes - as combinable viewing options, so I can, for example, switch on star's-eye view, switch on local faction trade-view, highlight high criminal activity and get stuck in. :)
