And once again us Imperials can just claim "Told you so!" towards the Fednecks and their inability to listen just b/c they dislike us.

That’s exactly why the Federation chose to accept the refugees, even though they ran the risk of some of them being terrorists. The empire was treating all Marlinists as guilty, even if only a small percentage actually belonged to the radical faction.

The federation wanted to help the majority of people that had nothing to do with attacks and their only crime was having democratic ideals. They did so knowingly risking that there might be radicals among them.

All the empire managed to do was likely swell the ranks of the radicals with their heavy handed actions.
