Start of a militarised Alliance?

Thats what the Alliance is now. The only point of contention is when the Kale Crew start offensive actions or prod someone they should have left alone.

I'm thinking more of a structured military outfit, as someone else stated here Alliance cap ships and vette style combat focused ships following:

The Council of Admirals has expressed gratitude that a key defence contractor will not be controlled by another superpower or corporation.

are they rubbing hands together now they have their own ship builders?

The Allaince are happy bolting on frags to anything really. But it shows they feel more secure rather than being squeezed between the twin superpower cheeks of the Empire and Federation with ships.
