Taurus Mining Ventures has requested help with a mining and delivery operation in the Synuefe CE-R c21-6 system.
In recent weeks, the mining corporation has performed research on what it claims are atypical radiation signatures detected within Synuefe CE-R c21-6. It now seeks shipments of the system’s native ores to explore commercially valuable applications of any molecular changes caused by this radiation.
Dr Ruben Carpenter, head of the company’s research division, outlined the initiative:
“I’m very excited to offer pilots this opportunity to support our scientific studies, which will hopefully prove lucrative for all involved. We require coltan, lithium hydroxide and methanol monohydrate crystal to be mined from locations within Synuefe CE-R c21-6 and delivered to the Heart of Taurus megaship.”
“We will also pay for shipments of the same ores that have been mined from other systems. These will allow us to compare samples, in order to refine our commercial processes.”
Taurus Mining Ventures is known for its close association with the anonymous anti-xeno specialist known as Salvation. However, there is no indication that this mining operation is connected to Salvation’s efforts to combat the Thargoids.

Yes demand is hand of god to 999999 so no bulk sales taxes on any deliveries but price is based of a galactic average multiplier not system state multipliers... Been ~x10 not X2 like tritium CG was...

No worries, I do too. I've a massive deadline next week, so cosmetics lose out for me this time. I've really mixed feelings about these CG rewards. Sometimes RL makes the time commitment too much .

Does the Heart of Taurus have size 5 and (or) 6 cargo racks so I can use a fuel scoop and bring an srv, then swap out when I get there? Or will I be able to ship my stuff over.... I know there is no shipyard, does that also mean no outfiting?

K, so I mine in an Asp-X... no fuel scoop will be a problem getting 800LY out there. Is there going to be ferry service. Don't have a Mining-Conda.

The pads for HoT are large enough for an anaconda if you want to use that, but yeah, no outfitting, no ship yard. What you bring is what you use.

Now, there are about 2 dozen (or more, haven't counted them) fleet carriers, so one of THEM might have outfitting/ship yard usage but you won't know which one until you arrive.

I'll make a suggestion: I use a python for mining. It has a weapon slot for each and every current piece of mining beams, guns, drills, etc. Put a surface scanner in there, there's room for a size 4A fuel scoop, and two limpet controllers (one for prospecting and one for collecting - my collector controls two at a time). You can resupply limpets on the Taurus. I keep no more than 120 at a time. Size 4 refinery helps.

BTW, here's a way to save on limpets: I'm going for coltan only at the moment. Hit a rock with the laser drill and just get two items to come out. If any of them has coltan in it, STOP and switch to prospector, let it see what the full load is, and you'll get the 50% more out of that rock.

One more important point: Yes, it's a CG, there are killers out there claiming "Salvation is a war criminal" and will politely ask you to leave the CG. If you don't want the issues (or if you have no fighting weapons) make sure you're in Solo. If not, expect to get blown up. It's just a fact of life when dealing with a CG. I got reminded of that issue this evening by hitting "Open" by force of habit.

Thanx, but if there's no reliable way to swap out a fuel scoop for cargo rack... and IF I get lucky and find a FC that has one, then they gotta leave for some reason so now I'm stuck without my fuel scoop to get home.... Plus no security. Sounds like a bad plan.

By now, it feels a bit like shamelessly advertising myself here, but oh well

My FC has shipyard and outfitting installed and will remain on station for the duration of the CG. Feel free to use a fast "travel ship" to dock at my carrier and transfer mining ship + equipment later.
