It can take a while for a contribution to show up in the tab. Either have patience and wait or try a relog. If you are signed up to the CG and you delivered your goods after signing up, it should count. I'm not 100% if you also have to MINE the minerals AFTER signing up, but I THINK you need to first sign up and only THEN start to mine for the contribution to count.

You can also check community goal in the station mission tab (versus your ship's transaction page). The mission board updates as soon as u sell the commodities, in my experience ymmv (#elite)

The cause for this is using the FC or station market to load the cutter not using the transfer screen on the right panel for items that are mined...
Or
using the Ship left screen or inara to check progress instead of using the mission board..


720 cargo leaves no room for collector unit controllers of mining gear, so points to FC owner loading a cutter or buying from station...
You can't use the market on FC at all, selling or buying erases refinery mining tag... buying the items to load the FC erases mining tag... buying the items to load into the Cutter erases mining tag...

I don't do CGs that often, but knowing how it works, I would always reboot after signing up - and before selling anything for the first time. Just to be on the safe side.

First CG Iv done since the Interstellar Initiative? part one & that was years ago.
I just signed up then went Mining, returning back now 3 times & each time my sales were instantly added & recorded to the CG.

So are you saying that you're not doing any Mining at all, but buying Mined goodies from someone's FC & then using those at the Megaship?

No im mining.. the moaning player, I Quoted are trying to bypass the loading of mined material which takes a long time by using the markets and that will not work, it wipes the mining tag and stops the content counting for CG
As stated in the CG topic..

Q:Can I use my FC?
A:FC owners can store mined items on ship transfer and still keep the mined tag from the ship... using FC market will erase the Mined flag... You are buying and selling on a market, so mining flag is erased..

Use Livery option on the MAIN menu after changing to T9 at any Station that has a working shipyard... Not all Stations are required to have shipyard or livery or even out fitting..
Livery option was added to the extras main menu for Explorers that can't land at stations in deep space but any one else can use it to change there current ship livery content.
