Newcomer / Intro Galnet distresss call

Greetings commanders

So I recently thought I would take a stab at trying something new, and I tried to follow the Galnet distress call posting

I jumped down to the Swoilz XX-D c1-30 system, there were 2 possible planets I could land on

t spent a bit of time falling in and out of orbital cruise/frame shift trying to get to the coordinates given

56.4 latitude -8.3 longitude

I got eally close to those poisitioms at both planets, but there did not seem to be anything of note in the area (I turned night vision on and flew oveer the area for both\)

My scanner showed no points of intrestt, and I didn't see anything with my flybys...

Just wondering if I perhaps missed an action to take

Got some system, scan data along the ay, so not a wasted trip, but curious if I missed the point ?

You might have been in the wrong place. You can also use the FSS to locate the POI. It might help to re-enter supercruise if you do not see the POI after using the

The distress call was received by a ship in that system, however the distress call wasn’t local to that system but from a system probably within 80Ly from there.

Lots of commanders headed out to do a search of the approximately 5,000 systems in that sphere.

You are in the wrong system, that system is where the first message was received, the second message gave those coordinates but not the body or system.

You can look in the dangerous discussions forum if you want to get the gen.
