Galnet News 17 DEC 3306 - Engineers Boost Ship Module Upgrading

Does this mean G5 XXL upgrade for the xmas period?

Does this mean if can't play during xmas, then I will have lost this advantage on anyone else?

Here is one very confusing galnet article!

I'm new to PC, just getting here from Xbox and I have several ships I need to engineer that I just built when my credits were transferred from xbox. I have to tell you ... there's no noticeable increase in augmentation. What they're saying is that when you engineer a part, you will get more progress on your blue circle than before. I just got done engineering 4 modules on 6 different ships a second ago at an engineer's shop for the experimentals and I have to say, 1 crank first level, 1 crank second level, 2 cranks third, 3 cranks 4th, and like 6-8 cranks for the last level. I had it happen several times where the line was a hair's breadth from complete in my level 5 augmentation and it still took two more cranks to finish it.

I was expecting something like half as many cranks, but I think they increased the augmentation progress by 10% or less. Seriously, you don't notice it at all.

Did you keep in mind you also have to rebuild engineer reputation when you transfer to pc?

Did you read my post? How could I engineer several modules from six different ships to level 5 without maxing my rep?

I finished engineering all those ships and there were times the 5th level took 10 cranks. Like I said, there is no noticeable increase in augmentation.

I finally got around to doing some more engineering before this deal is done. While rolling some remote engineering, I don't really see much improvement.

Does remote engineering count or do you have to be at the engineer for it to count?

Maybe I'm expecting a bit too much increase per roll.
