Galnet news - 'Durius fights back', article keeps disappearing!

Is anyone else getting this? News is dated 29/1/3300, when it's there!

That & the article from 3301, seems like Galnet is having problems!

Not experiencing that issue to be honest. I have noticed there is a future dated article from 28th Jan 3301 which is probably a manual event driven article and someone keyed a date wrong. OOC, I am looking to changed up my ship to a cobra so I can come and support the poor exploited independent world of Durius, who it seems are struggling even to keep their news channels open under the oppression of the imperialist regime ;)

Yea we need the help there, the empire are still piling in! Not that we don't give them a kicking sometimes ;).
.
Can't remember if that galnet story was there latter on, I'll check it out tomorrow.

The Galnet news items are problematic. I've also seen the auto-generated ones for faction expansions change retrospectively. I feel that once a news item is posted, it shouldn't change.

I also think the Galnet writing style could be improved. There are a few basic journalistic writing guidelines that would improve the texts considerably:
1) Never refer to any person without including both their name and title or position.
2) Never assume prior knowledge of any events. Always include at least a few words to remind people of the event referred to.

This is basic journalistic practice. More importantly, since many new players are arriving to the game, they shouldn't be expected to read a backlog of Galnet to understand news items.

I wish they would follow those 2 guidelines. I am leaning more towards the Empire side of the power-struggle triangle and with all the crap that is happening with the Emperor about to die, then marrying some chick, and now his son is crazy, and blah blah blah; I can't seem to keep track of what's happening. Sort of the same with the Federation news, although I'm less concerned with that. If the writing was a bit more clear and concise I could keep better track of my favorite pro-slavery faction.
