and try to figure out where humanity went wrong.

Clearly people appreciate your work, Paul, but to me it just seem like you trivialised the whole Elite narrative and threw a bucket of water over a game which stands or falls on it's atmosphere.
I'm actually glad someone came out and said this. Much as I like Paul's often pretty funny take on the news you're also right. I guess it's just falling in line with the current forum meta - which is to trivialise everything. God help anyone who tries to say anything serious here these days. Turns out it is just a game. Shame in a way, I quite liked pretending it was more important than that occasionally. I guess the thing to remember is that Paul's take on the news is not canon (despite it's Frontier stamp of approval), and can be ignored if it's not to our liking.

Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuttttttt....you kind of (kind of :D ) do have this in game (occasionally) with Flint "Firemaker" Lafosse.

In earlier games you also had Fed / Imp specific newsfeeds and extending the idea could have more eccentric takes.

But honestly: this is a forum and its a CM doing a personal take on another roundup which is 100% straight faced (and linked). If you don't like it

Glad it's not just me, Alec. I was kind of expecting to be torn to shreds. :)
