I have the idea to allow players to have an all round experience with an in game radio station (with option to turn ON and OFF) which is based around the news and information given out on Galnet. The players would be able to listen to the radio station in the cockpit of their ship which would inform them of new things happening throughout he galaxy. It could/would feature:
- Info about current galactic affairs
- Changes of power and government
- Info about wars (and directing players to these zones)
- Other general news and events
- Traffic/trade reports of some sectors
- (maybe) A read out list of the Top 5 bounties in the whole universe?
This would mean players would be able to know when and where events are taking place in the galaxy without having to always log on to the website/email to see what's going on.
There could also be a feature with the radio station is that players could contact the station (maybe when docked to the star-port) and infom them of any new events they have witnessed that they would like to inform others about.
