GalNet Radio

Hello fellow pilots.

I have seen threads requesting in-system radio stations and the ability play our own music. Also some that include a GalNet radio station.

This thread is a consolidation of just the GalNet Radio Station suggestion.

The first thing I did in the game is remove the flight music, because that is NOT what I would be listening to as I flew to a station that was 280,000Ls away.

Instead, I would listen to either my own music, or I would want to know what was going on in the galaxy as a whole, and/or within the opposing factions.

Having just a GalNet station would solve that last problem, and would give us something to do when traveling long distances. It would make long flight times have a purpose (although, sometimes in dock, I would personally listen to it as well).

Also, A GalNet station could have occasional 'breaking news' announcements that would tell about special events the devs put in the game.

So, please add a GalNet Radio Station.

Yes, as long as the producers of the radio station would keep them shows great i'd tune them up.

Reminds me of old Project Entropia radio shows. Were quite well done by the crews and kept track of the events and especially the adverts from player businesses.

I wanted the exact same thing. So I spent days making a radio for myself and uploaded it. Check it out, it has over 750 stations, and you can listen to Galnet News "hands free." -without ever "alt tabbing" out of game

i wouldn't mind a galnet radio either, or at least something streamed with game info, like "this just in commanders, our top bounties has been updated" and give a list of top bounties but not even reveal their location, just say what station they were at last. and then talk about how the open world is being influenced. and i wouldn't mind like some music in between broadcasts, but that's me. really we just need something to fill the silence.
