NEMESIS FAILSAFE: FACT OR FICTION? - 3 April 3309
Super benevolent and not at all prone to immoral experiments, science company Azimuth Biotech, has released a statement saying "Ha ha ha, what! Secret immortality backup plan from the man who already extended their life well past a normal age? Don't be daft!". Following Seo Jin-ae's claims that Caleb 'Salvation' Wycherley made use of a secret project, known as the Nemesis Failsafe, to cheat death after the events of HIP 22460, Azimuth has gone to great lengths to dismiss these suggestions. They were quick to claim Seo Jin-ae is now associated with those pesky Far God Cultists, who are clearly far worse than the company that started an intergalactic war. A true masterstroke of the "But what about them!" school of legal defences. Notable scientists have mentioned that the field of exoneurology (or "brain go science" to us mere mortals) has had no evidence of success in the past, save claims from the Utopia commune who conveniently are always washing their hair when anyone asks if they can take a look.

‘IMPERIAL ASSASSIN’ STOKES SUPERPOWER TENSIONS - 4 April 3309
You know what humanity really needs when facing gigantic death clouds filled with swarming apocalypse beetles? That's right, Superpowers fighting among themselves! Caine-Massey has pointed the finger at Zemina Torval accusing them of the forced existence vacation that was imposed upon the Caine-Massey CEO. Their argument is that Torval was super jelly of Caine-Massey getting all the attention and that they used their family connections in the Imperial Intelligence agency to get revenge. Quite how effective the intelligence agency can be to leave really obvious clues that are easy to follow is a question for another day. The Empire has dismissed the claims but things are looking a bit dicey between the two Superpowers. Meanwhile, the Thargoids have their popcorn ready as they watch how this unfolds.

ARCHER LAUNCHES PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN - 5 April 3309
Zachary Hudson fanboy, Jerome Archer has thrown their hat into the ring to be next Federal President. The former Secretary for Security has been backed by the Republican party, focusing on a platform of keeping everyone safe by removing all those pesky freedoms. There can be no risk in a candidate focused on "The war against moral corruption" after all! Archer and his team have several connections with Federal military and intelligence departments, so it's fortuitous that he should put his name forward just after they find all that evidence of Imperial espionage...

CORPORATE BATTLE ERUPTS IN TAVGI SYSTEM - 6 April 3309
Well, that escalated quickly. Caine-Massey and Torval Mining have started a good old fashioned punch up, following the assassination of the previous Caine-Massey CEO. Caine-Massey claims that Torval is hiding the culprit on their megaship, Orchestral Falcon, and that if they don't hand them over they're going to get extra feisty. Torval has responded by saying this is all some elaborate scheme to impact share prices, which we all know is far more important than all the people who will be lost as a result of this conflict. Both sides are calling for Independent Pilots to join the fray and help them out. Which side will you choose?

That's it for this week. Join us next time when we continue to review the remains of the burning ashes of human civilisation!
