GalNet RSS feed bug (guid isn't fixed)

GalNet's RSS news feed has a bug. The "Core Dynamics Completes Work on New Capital Ship" news item contained a spelling error, which was later corrected. Unfortunately this caused the news item's "guid" to change, which resulted in my news reader treating it as a new news item & so I now have TWO news items labelled "Core Dynamics Completes Work on New Capital Ship". This is a bug in the RSS news feed, not my news feed reader.

A "guid" is supposed to be a Globally Unique IDentifier. i.e. A number which uniquely identifies a particular news item forever, and is never repeated. If you change the "guid" of a news item, then it is perfectly reasonable for a news reader to think this is a different (new) news item, and so add another show it as another news item.

Please fix this, so it doesn't happen again. If a news item is updated then the "guid" should stay unchanged, but the "lastBuildDate" should be updated/added to indicate a change instead. Since GalNet news items are stored in a database somewhere, the "guid" should be stored as part of this, so that it doesn't change.

For what it's worth, the guid USED to be "da2d08d2fca749bc66f5fb23f631d4ed03ea6efb" but later became "8c57c116a6560dcdf309f1bebc9b0a2da0f7d14b", because "Sam Ishum" was originally incorrectly spelled as "Sam Isum".
