I would love with a great big capital heart if we got some meaningful salvage/S&R gameplay loops. There’s only so many times I can save useless NPCs before I lose that warm fuzzy feeling you get.

Would be great if Civil Unrest/Lockdown spawned (not-thargoid) damaged megaships to get pods from, with Civil Unrest generating missions to recover said salvage, just like there's salvage missions for the stuff in damaged stations.... and doing these improve the security situation.

It would be cool if Thargoids could actually destroy stations.
We could have regions of space where no humans live anymore, but full of cold, dead husks of space stations, megaships and other wrecks and ruins.

Imagine the riot of PMFs that "spent years building their faction just to have it taken away for some stupid story". Will never happen. Well, OK, maybe in those new areas before people settle in. But never in the bubble.
