Galnet needs some love, I think everyone agrees with that.
But something that could make it more interesting and rewarding would be to generate a Galnet article when someone finds an interesting location.
Example:
CMDR X finds a Generation Ship and quickly after Galnet has an automated message up with the CMDR's name, location and description. Or just make it work like exploration data.
This obviously would require a sort of trigger + an automated message for every interesting location added by FDev. But it would give people a reason to check Galnet, visit new locations, and even push CMDRs to explore and follow breadcrumbs. It would make the galaxy feel a bit more alive, and not controlled by dev actions.
Hopefully this sparks some ideas for some dev in that sexy new HQ. o7
