In seismic news 'Princess' Aisling Duval has finally relented after colossal public pressure and clarified she is "indeed ginger".
Earlier in the week rumours had surfaced regards Aislings true motivation for representing the Empire in the new AEGIS, with the princess co-opting Guardian technology to eradicate her true hair colouration. But after considerable self reflection and growing reputational damage to the freshly reformed AEGIS, decided to reveal 'her true self' in an Empire wide broadcast.
Visibly fighting back tears, Aisling proclaimed "I understood the risk of speaking out, I know this news may shock many but I cannot live a lie. I am ginger. My sincere wish by bravely facing you all now is to fight ginger prejudice, bringing understanding and acceptance to all Imperial subjects like me."
It was also noted that the initial leak had come from known supporters of Hadrian Augustus Duval, suggesting an ongoing Imperial powerplay against Aisling after her outspoken views contradicted the Emperor and other Duvals.
Aislings image consultants are now anxiously monitoring public responses to the news, with one describing the mood as 'unsettled'. Attention now turns to Senator Patreus who denies he knew Aislings secret. The Senator was approached but declined to comment.
