Game crashes every ~10 minutes

Game randomly crashes every 10 min or so, also when I'm jumping between systems game freezes for a moment and every few jumps my display drivers crash. I tried many versions of AMD drivers and same issues on all of them. The crashes are lot more frequent since 2.1 update. I've tried redownloading and reinstalling the game. I played for 3 hours today trying to do the CG I probably crashed around 20 times, it has literally become unplayable.

I can play all of the games no problem. I've been only having this issues with Elite Dangerous

Nope, my temperatures never go above 70°c in Elite Dangerous

Very carefully unseat and remove your card......then drop a brick on it and rebuy Nvidia. Seriously though I feel your pain, hope you get it sorted. Is your card factory overclocked as their is a few posts online about a slight downclocking fixing crashes.

The factory overclocking issue mostly hit nvidia cards from certain manufacturers, but it's still worth checking. "Stock speeds" are there for a reason. The R9 280(x) in general should be fine, it has served me well so far with pretty much every driver release.

This is something for the bug reports forum including dxdiag output, or if you aren't comfortable posting that information in public, file a ticket as Agony said.

(edit) Check your driver version to make sure you didn't get a surprise update to a 2-years old version through Microsoft.

Yeah, I opened a FD support ticket.

I download my drivers directly from AMD website and I completely remove previous drivers before installing new ones.

What worries me is that you seem to be indicating that the game has always crashed regularly for you, and more often after 2.1. If that is the case it points to hardware to me. Whether that is cooling or drivers or both is to be determined.
Also could some of your issues be due to networking or your internet connection?

Try installing MSI Afterburner. Click settings > fan, create a more aggresive custom fan profile and see if it helps.

Sounds like a hardware issue to me. My game rarely if ever crashes.

I've been getting far more frequent crashes lately, since 2.1.0.4 i believe, so much so that i can't even take the risk of playing in open anymore, incase i get accused of combat logging by someone! I'm hoping it's just the hot madrid summer overheating everything and it'll disappear once the weather cools down a bit!

It's a heat problem. Even my GTX970 did the same until I raised the FAN SPEED threshold to be on around 70degrees to keep it under this where before in 2.1 it was fine at 60deg. I raised mine by about 10% and no crashes.

I had a similar issue with the pc crashing while playing ED for seemingly no reason. I tried all the usual - gfx driver updates, reseating the card, checking the power supply, monitoring the temps etc but with no luck.
In the end I updated the motherboard (Asus maximux VI hero) bios and drivers and it's been perfect ever since.

Hopefully this will work for you too.
