Game crashing on launch everytime

Hi, I am new to this and have tried all sorts to try and correct the problem, everytime I try and launch the game I get a window with, opps looks like planet zoo has crashed. It is a new pc with i7 2600 3.4, 16gb ram, gtx 1050 ti gpu (drivers are upto date, windows 10 (fully updated)

Any help would be appreciated.

With all respect to WoW, it's not really in the same category as Planet Zoo. They are like 18 years of development apart.

Is your monitor plugged in to the videocard?

And you say a new pc: A i7-2600 isn't exactly new if it was first released in 2011.

But at first I would think the game isn't using the video card. I have a gtx 1050ti as well, the card is up to the task.

I purchased it off Ebay last week, I have just read the description and it states new apart from motherboard and cpu!

And yes its plugged into the gpu.

Oh 🤣 can you recommend anything to download to compare with planet zoo

Planet Coaster

i7-2600 isn't new. It's really old looking at current standards (the first number is it's generation number, yours is 3rd, while we are already at generation 10).
And ebay is not the place to buy good pc's IMHO.

But then still, even with the i7-2600 you would expect it to run.

The first options were my first guess as well.

Does your firewall/virus scanner allow and/or accept Planet Zoo ?
Maybe disabling the steam overlay for testing purposes ? (steam setting)

The firewall and anti virus are both allowing steam, but I can't find planet zoo in the list, I disabled the overlay and it loaded up to the spinning world, loaded to 100% then crashed and the following box appeared with block pixels

Some modern games like Hitman 2 or mafia 3 have a free trial version on Steam if you want to see whether you PC can run a modern game
I'm downloading hitman 2 now and I'll try it out

It could be also hardware-related...from faults, to insufficient cooling/hotspots to BIOS-settings.
So you should check your component temperatures/stability with software and maybe do some stress-test and a ram-test.

Thanks, I am completely new to this, how would I go about checking these, I have checked that the bios is up to date, but that's all I know about bios

hmm...
ok for temp-overview you could use coretemp or hwinfo both are free.
Afterwards you could check if your pc survives a bench without crashing, like cinebench from the microsoftstore ( it's free) fro the cpu and 3dmark for gpu.
For a propper mem-test you would need to boot memtest86 from usb.

But it might be also an option to get some local help of a pc-nerd ( nerd in a nice way).
