Game Crashing

Hi, first of all, sorry for my English.
I have a problem with the game, I arrived in a system with a neutron star and after a few seconds the game crashed. The sound continues to be heard and when you try to press a few keys you hear that I am executing commands. I managed to move to a nearby system, before the crash and now it seems to work properly.
I would like to understand if it is my problem or the game one? is it a problem with that particular system?

In the video the game crashes after 50 seconds, but usually crashes even before.
I played with the graphics settings to a minimum, but nothing changes.

I find itsa bit of both, upon entering a new system from the hyperspace animation the gpu can go from doing very little to doing a lot(gpu workload intense system) which can make the gpu go into a half baked windows tdr issue but recover producing a black or frozen screen but sound /game continues issue.
I say a bit of both because dirty gpu fans and heatsinks can contribute to this in a big way.
if you download a overclocking tool like afterburner and use its slider to downclock the gpu say 50hz leave it running in background an then play elite the problem more than likely wont manifest that should keep you going/ playing without the crash (unfortunately at a slightly reduced capacity) if the crashing becomes persistent remember it could just be a one of event.
as for fixing without a downclock if crashing becomes a regular thing clean fans and heatsinks to brand new out the box levels and repaste the gpu that may work pending how well mobo& gfx card get along
as from when they are first ever switched on they are slowly becoming less efficient through general wear n tear
of course in saying that it could be a bugged system like you say but I personally don't think so...………………………..
(sorry for my English german, French and any other language I don't speak but i do WOOF quite well :D)

I do not belive is my gpu. My gpu is clean and when i play elite the temperature is between 45-48 degrees while the usage is 30-40% if i watch the neutron star.

could just be a one of event its happened to me occasionally and on an older pc I had too downclock to prevent persistent tdr the graphics/planet/systems being procedurally generated sometimes the workload may just nudge a gpu over the edge for a millisecond resulting in a time out delay recovery

I did two more tests. I reinstalled windows 10, but it didn't fix anything. Then I tried with linux, and it works. It no longer freezes. But now I don't understand what the problem was?

I've been having this issue a long time. On my old PC, and on my new rig as soon as I built it. Not sure what is causing it, seems to occur at random. I can go weeks without experiancing it, and sometimes it just will not flippin' stop doing it. It has gotten to the point I've quit playing all together sadly, loved this game. But this is a common issue, Google it and there are plenty who suffer it, and what few claims to fix it I've tried to no success. I've tried running the game in vr, non vr, high and low graphics. Running background processes and with just elite and no other tasks at all going. None have made a difference. I've noticed just about all who has this issue is using some form of GTX card but that could just be coincidental. Most egregious of all, though, is that despite the number of people having this problem, frontier development has not commented, acknowledged, or responded to this issue at all that I can find, and that includes all the bug reports and help requests I've put to them over the years. I guess they don't know, or just don't care to fix it. If anyone has found a definite solution to this problem I'd like to know it. Would be nice to play this game again without the constant frustration of going completely blind during combat or collecting ore while things keep going on around me.
