If you're going to force players to spend 5-300 minutes inbetween sections of actual gameplay by looking at obnoxious groups of yellow circles could you put in an idle game? preferably with a questionably expansive amount of content to pass the time.
That, or show some basic human courtesy by automating traveling so people can go do something like wash their clothes, go on a hike, hit the gym, do their homework, play fetch with their dogs, relax and vibe in the living room for a while. You know, literally anything else, up to and including watching paint dry.
