Game is a mess in the rain and incredibly unstable in DX12.

I did previously blame the crashing of the game since patching started on the patches themselves but I'm wondering if the really awful rain effects are actually the culprit here and aren't yet patched to the best of my knowledge. They tank the framerate in DX12 mode basically in half on my 6800XT (From the 100-120s+ to 60) and while DX11 does boast a bit more stability the framerate particularly in the rain is utterly pathetic. (30FPS in the rain with drops into sub 30.) With how often rain is featured in this game this is pretty unacceptable to not be fixed even after two patches.

Got the very same issues with my setup, and i have a 7800X3D. I know it is a problem across a wide range of hardware setups so pretty much a game optimization issue...

Shameful the developers can't even bother to read these forums, this atrocious optimization issue is there since DAY ONE and they did not even care to take a look.

Gotta give the guys the credit for the update 1.8, totally fixed the bad performance on wet weather. Back to normal 130fps-ish on my 7800X3d with 6750XT.

Great job.

This and a lot of other things are now significantly better. I think it's worth saying that it took basically 3 months from release to get to this point though.
