Game keeps changing my Jump destination

Hey all,

This is a weird one and darn annoying. Basically the game keeps on switching my destination system for another one, and I can recreate it perfectly.

I'm parked on my Carrier, one jump away from my destination system. Upon leaving the Carrier, I need to Super cruise for a bit to get around the planet before the jump route is clear. However, the second I enter SC to get around the planet the game switches my target system for another. The event sequence is:

  • Sat on Carrier, set target system for current ship (NOT Carrier)
  • Undock
  • Destination system obscured by planet
  • Engage Super Cruise ("c" key, not the context-sentitive key) to clear the planet
  • HUD marker (the little hollow / sold blob in circle upper left of the scanner) moves
  • Destination system is now different!
  • Check Galaxy map and correct system still showing as targetted.
  • Need to clear route and re-plot for it to work.

Each time, pressing "c" to enter non-targetted super cruise causes the issue. Anyone else? This is consistent behaviour for me.

Scoob.

Known issue.
Seems to happen to me in carrier heavy systems.
Tbf, doesn't happen as much as it used to.

Hmm. There's a binding for 'target next system' (or something like that). That might work, and be faster than reopening the Nav panel or galaxy map?

Edit: Target next jump? Target next waypoint? Dammit, gonna have to log in and check now! :ROFLMAO:

Yes, I had it mapped once upon a time... wonder why I removed the mapping? Can't remember lol.

Yes, target my carrier 'Larry Niven', jump to supercruise and it's swapped to another carrier 'Ganks R us'.

It's interesting you say that. Before I got my FC, if I jumped into a system with any FC's present, upon arrival, my target would switch from the selected station to a random FC in that system.

I think the bind is something like "target next system in route" - I have it on one of the stick buttons, but if you have a route plotted as you described Scoob, it should then just reselect it for you.

I have it happen whenever I need to do like you as the target is blocked - good example is in a res - after selecting target system, find it obscured so select anything from the nav-panel on the left and low wake. Once in supercruise, hit the bound key, and it'll reselect the target system for you.

I can't recall which part of the binds it is in, but try the "targeting" or "plotting" sections for the thing I quoted up top.

Well, the nasty part is that once i docked at someone else's carrier and i was wondering why i cannot transfer cargo
And someother time i was wondering why i'm not getting docking permission... obviously it was someone else's carrier, mine being like 2-3 MM far away
