Game keeps crashing - mostly on settlements

I just started Odyssey and have been having fun with it. I knew going in there would be issues but the roadmap for Odyssey that Frontier announced doesn’t mention stability improvements. Game crashes to desktop mostly on settlements when landing on with an Apex shuttle or engaging with on foot combat or general exploring. Is this normal at this stage of the game?

specs are:

Ryzen 5 5600x
RTX 3080ti
32GB Ram 3600mhz

playing on maxed between 100-170fps

Just over three months since release? Depends on your definition of "normal".

In any case, check your game cache/file integrity through either the launcher or Steam and keep sending FDev those crash reports.

I've noticed some crashes have been resolved with the latest Nvidia driver. I'm running a similar system, 5600X with a 3070.

Impressed with your FPS, I regularly drop to 40 or below in settlements and stations.

My experience is very stable (5800x/3090). Very rare hilarious glitches (e.g. falling through settlement floor once, but easily recovered by jumping back up).

On settlements it’s around 95-120 depending on the situation. Stations it’s between 120-180 and space is locked 240 because that’s what my refresh rate is. I’ll try and update my driver. Thanks.

I had been crashing all the time until I turned off Nvidia Shadowplay. seems to have stabilised it a bit. general performance is terrible though, probably down to running a pair of 980ti's in SLI.

I get 60 FPS in horizons, about 10 FPS in Odyssey.

while i do have a lot of connectivity problems that send me back to the main menu,
stability was never a problem for me.
maybe 2 or 3 ctd since the alpha.

so from my experience this is not normal behaviour.

im running a 1080ti, and for the most part the game is playable and smooth even with the interiors. until 10 mins later and it crashes. soo annoying. i can barely get a mission in
