Game lacking,but...

As title, I play the game for a couple of hours now and again, have a few million in the bank and an "A" class vulture and find it a real struggle to keep myself interested as at the moment the only point is to acquire credits and fetch quests, everything else is pretty thin on the ground (this is just my opinion and only counts for myself before people jump in and say how wrong I am) BUT you can't fault the devs for actually listening to people on the forum and trying to improve the game. So even though I don't enjoy the game as much as I want to,kudos to the devs for continuing to bring the improvements and actually listening to the customers. That's it really, let the trolling commence 😋

I find the game quite a relaxing way to kill a couple of hours. As an explorer, I'm quite often literally just flying around pressing the scan button. But there's something a bit nice and Zen about it!

I think the real question is Why is Elite So Compelling Even Though There Aren't Any Real Goals? I'm obviously wasting my time but I don't seem to mind. Many more obviously exciting games make me feel guilty when I finish playing them -- I should be out walking the hills and writing poetry. But not ELITE. I think it's just nice fantasising about space.

I've just come back to ED from a few months off, I think last I played was Oct last year.

My impression after playing for a few hours is nothing has really changed, its still a boring game.

Flew some bounty missions, did some trading and mining and its boring.

There really needs to be some single player story line missions, some unique items to hunt down and a FPS element with the ability to go planet side to make this interesting. As for seeing players, I saw two, that's it, in about 5 hours of play.

I'll guess uninstall ED and wait for another few months.

a lot of people posted threads like this and i always agree

Dude there's lots of people about. Just not enough pvp. Pvp is/can be spontaneous, unpredictable, challenging, fun. More is needed to keep interest

There are people that understand space simulations and those that don't. Apparently, Elite is simply not for you.

I am also on hiatus. for the same reasons as above. I will return though - I love the game, just been a bit burnt out (everything has been Elite for me for the last 8 months).

Can't say I'm burnt out myself, but I am however on vacation in San Andreas this week...and maybe next week too. I not alone either. Based on Steam Charts this seems to apply to player populations across all other games right now. All games took a dive on the very same day GTAV launched. :D

Will probably be rather bored of stealing cars right about when the 1.3 Beta drops though!
