Game launches for 1 second then stops

My sister got this game for her birthday but she hasn't been able to play it. I have tried everything on every website and youtube video but it still won't work. We are thinking of refunding the game which would be a shame because we both realy want to play it.

If there is anyone out there who can fix it please help me!!!

Do you know the specs on your pc? I’m sure if you can post that information someone will be able to tell you if that could be the problem.

This "fix" was posted once before, but I couldn't find it again. Try this: go into the "User\(whatever logon name)" folder, then "AppData\Local\Frontier Developments\Elite Dangerous\Options\Graphics". Edit the "DisplaySettings.xml" file (you may want to make a copy first) and set "FullScreen>0</FullScreen>". Once the game launches successfully, then change the "0" back to "2".

Sorry, you are correct. I had done a "search" while looking for something else and when I saw this post, it sounded like the same problem I had previously encountered myself with "Elite Dangerous". The "search" function within the Forum is lousy. Even when you put in the specific game name, it still shows results for other games.

I've reported this issue AND I've made a post about this. The game loads, I see my zoo for one second, and then it fades to loading screen and dumps me in the main menu. It only happens with ONE of my franchise zoos; the other loads and plays perfectly. The weird thing is that when I go back a couple of saves - which is hard to do, because you have to DELETE your newest save to get older saves to load (what kind of a developer decision is that?) - the zoo loads just fine, BUT... the next day, when I start it up? Same thing. It's maddening, because it's the zoo I've put well over 180 hours (if not more) of play time into. And if I keep having to go back to older saves, there won't be a lot of zoo left after a while.
