Game manual

There is a very nicely done manual that I enjoyed reading, although at the time it came out, it didn't tell me anything new.
Now that I see the Newcomers forums littered (sorry newcomers) with question easily found there, I realized how badly advertised (or rather not at all) it actually is.

Do you think it would be a good idea to include the manual to the installation process and put in on the desktop next to the launcher?
I personally think it would be:

1) a great time-killer while the game installs
2) good thing to lower the overall confusion of newcomers that usually takes place right after firing the game up.

Cheers.

The "Manual" link in the launcher should really be red and flashing until the player enters the x-th word in the y-th paragraph on page z :D

Desktop links, not so much a fan. IME desktops have two states, either people don't use it at all and there's only a handful of icons from programs with impolite installers, or it's a deluge of application links, documents, and folders called "Stuff", "More Stuff", and "Totally Not Lewd Stuff".

I always thought there should be a flight operations manual in the game itself. It would be something to read on Hutton runs, without having to alt-tab out.

Also, I agree that a desktop link is pointless: my desktop might be an OCD model of clarity, but almost nobody else bothers, in my experience.
