Hello from Australia,have been playing Beta 1 since it came out.I have a question about fines ,I received a fine from an area I haven't been to yet and the clock is ticking.How can I get a fine when I haven't been to that area yet.I have tried reaching that area to pay said fine but my ship cant jump that far.Does that mean I will end up whith a bounty on my head.Regards Bill;)

It sounds like a bug, but since you can't reach that system, you have nothing to worry about. A wanted status only applies in the system were it was given, however, a human player can use a warrant-scanner on you and decide to claim that far away bounty. :)

Criminal records are easily cleared, for a price, by contacting the pilot guild (or whatever it's called) in the station contacts. I can't remember though if you need to be in the system that issued it, or at least one that's under the same faction control.

Try contacting the pilot's federation rep at the next starport you visit to clear the fine.

As for how you received it, it's hard to say if it is indeed a glitch, but it's probably worth ticketing anyway. If it's of no help or they can't answer the devs will just ignore it - better to give more feedback than necessary than not enough :)

Did you have a courir mission or sth like that and forgot about that? If the timer runs out, some missions will give you a fine.
