So I bought elite dangerous ages ago for the Xbox one. Loved the game. Was one of those games I always come back to. But buying on the Xbox was not my first choice. I was after a space SIM fix and wanted. A consol experience. My pc was dead at the time. So I was very disappointed when I found out that elite was basicly dead on ps4 at that point in time. So I bought it on Xbox now it's out on ps4 and what with hotas support existing on ps4 and not Xbox as well as a superior consol and a thousand other reasons I want it on the ps4. Problem is I'm not shelling out 100 dollars for a game I already own on another consol. What I want to know is of there is anyway I can have frontier port my Xbox Rights over to my playstation. Cuase I really want to play with the best experience possible. But I'm not shelling out for the base plus horizons on a new consol and I won't be buying any new add-ons for a game I'm salty about the experience with. Xbox is . Tjisbis literally the only game I play on my consol let me port it so I can get rid of the damned thing. Ps4 all the way.

This is as much on Microsoft's side as it is FD's Microsoft does not offer refunds for digital content so even if FD did allow the license sway Microsoft wouldn't.

Wanting is what makes us get up in the morning. It the one thing that drives us humans. But he/she is barking up the wrong tree in this endevor, it ain't gonna happen.
Maybe wait for Black Friday and get the physical Legendary Edition. It'll probably be on sale for $30, maybe less.
Other than that, paying for the game again is your only choice. I also have the game on XB1, but abandoned it the moment I found out it was coming to PS4.
