After wasting all yesterday collecting massacre missions, went to the conflict zone to complete them, killed 3 ships, crashed to black screen, logged back in immediately to find ceasefire so I had to abandon them all. Today, I decided to have a go at some skimmer missions.
I flew to the planet, jumped in the SRV and drove around for half an hour. The only thing that appeared on my scanner was the station. Nothing else. No rocks, no cargo, no skimmers, zilch. I tried logging several times, but still nothing appeared. One time when I get back in, I got a message saying that my cargo hold was full, but I hadn't collected anything, and never did in a previous trip. When I check my cargo, you won't believe what I found. That's right, two modular terminals. Where the hell did they come from.
Anyway, after logging a few times, I decided to abandon all the skimmer missions and recall my ship. I notice that, even though I'm right next to it, it doesn't show on my scanner.
I try to board the ship. Up I go and then black screen - connection error. I log back in and find that my view has changed so I can't board the ship. I drove away, logged a few times, but still, this is the view I get, where I can't see the menu to board the ship. I don't have any head-tracking device. I can't change that view. Is there anything I can do other than self-destruct? I'm getting really fed up now. That's two days wasted, with loads of frustration instead of fun. Please sort it FD.

Even if the bases do spawn skimmers they have a habit of being 1 or 2 short of the target you have!
