Game suddenly wants to install (even though it's installed) - any tips?

Hello!
I'm not sure if there's a way to bypass this because I don't want to download the whole thing again today. The game crashed a couple of times today (I think my video card slowly shifts and comes a bit loose and causes problems, but that's another story). After pushing it back into place, I went to open up Planet Zoo via Steam and it wants me to install the game, even though it's already there. It's done this a couple of times before and when I've clicked "install" the game opens, but today it's telling me there's not enough room to install it and it won't do anything.

I can see all the files sitting there. Trying to open the .exe file directly in the Planet Zoo folder just brings up the install prompt again.

I don't want to have delete everything and spend hours redownloading stuff. Does anyone have any suggestions?

@Kasatka In that case, it sounds like this is a Steam issue, unfortunately. It sounds like Steam has lost the connection with the files you have. We recommend reaching out to Steam for support, but honestly it might just be quicker reinstall. It's really up to you, I personally would try and reach out to Steam to see what's possible to do. Please keep us updated on this - we hope you're back in business asap!

Thanks!

I actually went back to see how much space I'd need to clear to install it again and this time, instead of telling me it didn't have room to install and just leaving it at that, it had a "next" button on the window. Clicking that brought up a dialog that said it was checking to see what was already installed and then it just worked! I don't know if opening the properties window triggered something or what, but I don't think I did anything else that would've prompted the "next" button to appear.

At any rate, it's working now, and thanks for your help!
